Shwayze and Cisco are currently in the studio recording the follow up to their smash debut, "Shwayze!" Here's an update from the studio from Cisco and a picture of the toys they get to use to produce their sound:

"yo people whats up...
we are officially in the studio recording the new SHWAYZE album!!!!!
we are very excited as u can see by the amount of exclamation marks i used on that last sentence up there. We are in the writing/demo-ing process and its going great. Jordan came by this week to listen to a bunch of idea and now he's just as excited as us typing with exclamation points a plenty. The clouds in the studio are billowy and round with a slight scent of pine. The hat on my head is grey and has a faux alligator stap. I've got 10 guitars, 5 keyboards, and a Bessie, my mexican bass. Our buddy Beardo came in the other day to lay down some guitar tracks adn killed it. The tune I told ya'll about a while ago called "Make a lil more" is now as fat as a Swedish baby. We also just ran into our boy Terry out in NYC who plays drums with Santo Gold and Spank Rock and he's gonna fly out to get on a few tracks. GONNA BE ILL! The weather outside is a but blah but sometimes the shade is welcomed. I blew out one of my GENELEC speaks in the studio so I'm goonna head to town to track some monitors down. Love and peace.

The rapper, born Aaron Smith, has had a charmed rise to his complicated kind of prospective fame. The show, which is set to debut tonight, is built around Shwayze's tongue-in-cheek biography of growing up as "the only black kid in Malibu" in the most picturesque trailer park in America. As the show reveals, his childhood home has a knockout ocean view. Shwayze's music is one of many arms promoting the idea of "Shwayze-ness:" a pan-ethnic, happy-go-lucky and media-saturated California fantasy. "We live in a place with palm trees, blue skies and chicks coming over," Adler said. "It's a lifestyle we're selling, and it's my lifestyle. Let's live together."

"I used to listen to everything. I went through phases. I'm ADD, I'm a Gemini and like I'll listen to something for a long time and hold onto it and I gotta hop onto the next one. Like when I first started listening to music, I listened to the oldies like James Brown, The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, The Supremes, you know, everything like that. Then I got into Bob Marley and Sublime, like the "stoner-chill feel good music," then I got into rock. And then I got into hip-hop like Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Wu-Tang. I have a whole bunch of influences."

Here's the deal: if you're going out to Warped Tour, decorate your car with Shwayze stuff. Write on your windows, make signs, make a Shwayze ball for your atenna, etc etc. (Just don't put anything on the car that will obstruct you from driving, obviously.) Then dress the part - make shirts, shorts, skirts, hats, shoelaces, or whatever else you can think of and wear it to Warped. Take photos of you and your friends dressed up next to the car and submit it to the Warped Tour category in the Suretone community. Today, Shwayze's single Buzzin' has been featured as a "Hot Song" in Newsday!

Shwayze's new single, "Buzzin'" (Suretone), is part Gym Class Heroes, part Sugar Ray - a slice of SoCal hip-hop so laid back, it almost sounds baked in the summer sun. Instead of standing out, Shwayze's rhymes and his delivery tuck into the groove, used more for how they sound rather than what they say. But that doesn't really matter. "Buzzin'" is all about the beat, and it hs a good one.
